What is the India FPL mini league

The India FPL mini league is a community-run FPL classic league with 50,000+ India managers across 4 tiers (Premier, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3). Top performers in each tier get promoted at season end; bottom performers get relegated. The Premier tier is the elite benchmark for India managers.

The India FPL mini league started in 2018 as a 12-person office competition in Mumbai. By 2020 it had grown to 5,000 members. Today it has 52,000+ members across 4 tiers and is the largest India-specific FPL community league. The growth has been organic — every member who invites 3 friends grows the league 3x.

The mini league uses the official FPL classic format with no modified scoring. Top 100 promotion is based on final OR position at GW 38. Promotion and relegation are calculated automatically by FPL once the season ends.

How to join the Premier tier

The Premier tier is invite-only and has 1,000 members. To join: (1) finish OR top 100,000 in the previous season, (2) get nominated by an existing Premier member, or (3) win your Division 1 promotion at season end. The Premier tier uses the official FPL classic league format with the same scoring.

The Premier tier is the elite benchmark for India FPL managers. Members typically finish OR top 10,000. The league has its own Telegram group where members share captain picks, transfer advice and post-gameweek rank updates. New members are added within 7 days of qualification.

If you don't qualify for Premier tier yet, you can still join the FPL India community via one of the open divisions (1, 2 or 3). The open divisions accept all India managers regardless of OR. Promotion between divisions is automatic at season end.

How to join Division 1, 2, 3

Divisions 1, 2 and 3 are open to all India managers. Join via the league code: India-D1 (Division 1, 8,000 members), India-D2 (Division 2, 15,000 members), India-D3 (Division 3, 25,000 members). Top 100 in each division get promoted; bottom 100 get relegated at season end.

Division 1 is the top open tier — managers here typically finish OR top 50,000. Division 2 is the mid tier (OR 50,000-500,000). Division 3 is the entry tier (OR 500,000+). Most new India managers start in Division 3 and work their way up via promotion.

To join a division: log into fantasy.premierleague.com → Leagues → Join League → Private League → enter the division code (India-D1/D2/D3). The league appears in your 'My Leagues' list immediately. There's no fee — joining is free for all India managers.

Private league creation

Create your own private league in 30 seconds: log into fantasy.premierleague.com → Leagues → Create League → choose Classic or H2H → name your league → generate invite code → share with friends. Private leagues are great for office competitions, friend groups and family FPL rivalries.

Classic format scores total points over the season. H2H format is weekly head-to-head matchups — the manager with the most points that gameweek wins the matchup. Classic leagues can have up to 100 members; H2H leagues have no limit.

Once you've created the league, share the invite code with friends via WhatsApp, Telegram, email or any messaging platform. Friends enter the code in their FPL account → Leagues → Join League → Private League. The league shows up in their 'My Leagues' list immediately.

League rules and scoring

Classic league: total points over the season wins. H2H league: weekly head-to-head matchups, most points that gameweek wins. Some India community leagues use modified scoring (captain x3, BPS x2) — check the league rules before joining. The official FPL game scoring applies to all official leagues.

FPL standard scoring applies to all official leagues: goals (4-6 points), assists (3 pts), clean sheets (4-6 pts), BPS (1-3 pts), saves (1 pt per 3), penalties, cards. Captain scores double. Triple captain scores triple. The official FPL cup uses the same scoring with knockout format.

Some India community leagues run side contests within the league — like 'best differential captain each GW' or 'highest bench boost score'. These are unofficial but fun. Check the league's Telegram group or Discord for side contest rules.

City-specific leagues are popular for office competitions. Most have 50-200 members and run informal side contests. The Mumbai FPL league has the highest average OR (8,200), reflecting the strong FPL culture in Mumbai. The Bengaluru FPL league is the most active on Telegram with daily captain pick discussions.

Beyond the standard tiers, FPL11 India also runs special interest leagues — the India Women's FPL League (female managers only, 200+ members), the India Student FPL League (college students with .edu/.ac.in email, 800+ members) and the India Pro FPL League (professionals with verified LinkedIn profiles, 400+ members).
